Український дизайнер, співзасновник інтернет-проекту "Рукотвори", Богдан Гдаль поскаржився, що його шрифт без дозволу використали для оздоблення приміщення під час Ради регіонального розвитку за участю Петра Порошенка.

Автор дав шрифт у персональне використання художнику Андрію Єрмоленку.Гдаль розповів, що шрифт називається "Рукотвори", і він не поширювався публічно ні безкоштовно, ні за гроші.

"А зараз в АП без узгодження заюзали герби Ярмоленка і мій шрифт, який можливо Андрій давав у пакеті з картинками", – розповів Богдан.

За словами Гдаля, шрифти їхні автори не патентують, авторське право надаєтсья за фактом створення.

Шрифти поширюються за ліцензією (роялті), коли автор надає право на його індивідуальне використання.

Факт купівлі (або ж безкоштовного викачування за умовами відкритої ліцензії) надає такі права.
