Жители Новой Зеландии на прошедшем референдуме проголосовали против смены флага, сообщает РБК

Согласно предварительным результатам, за новый флаг проголосовали 43,2% участвовавших, за старый - 56,6%. В голосовании приняли участие 2 млн человек, передает Associated Press.

На новом флаге предлагалось изображение серебристого папоротника, который является одним из символов Новой Зеландии, а также четырьмя звездами. На предыдущем флаге страны рядом с этими четырьмя звездами располагался "Юнион Джек" - флаг Великобритании.
