На пляжах іспанської Майорки встановлюють фальшиві попереджувальні знаки для туристів, що начебто у воді є медузи або забруднена вода. Це ініціатива місцевих жителів, які незадоволені великою кількістю туристів, пише  Independent.

Всі попередження написані англійською, проте вони містять внизу текст, написаний місцевим каталонським діалектом. Наприклад, під зображенням плавця в оточенні медуз йдеться: «Відкритий пляж. Не для медуз чи іноземців». В іншому попередженні про зсув написано, що «небезпека виникає через перенаселеність».

Неофіційні вивіски є роботою Manacor Caterva, групи, яка виступає проти надмірного туризму. Вони критикують «перенаповнення Майорки туристами», і зазначають, що «бухти Балеарських островів були експропрійовані туризмом».

«Узурпація бухт є ще одним проявом того, як капіталізм використовує таку економічну діяльність, як туризм, доводить її до крайності та вільно висушує землю та витягує максимальну додаткову вартість із робітників», — йдеться у їхній заяві.
