Після попередження, зробленого минулого місяця, компанія Yahoo таки подала позов проти Facebook. На думку інтернет-компанії, соцмережа порушила патенти стосовно реклами та контролю приватності.Про це повідомляє Media Sapiens

В судовому позові Yahoо стверджує, що Facebook порушила 10 патентів. У відповідь на це соціальна мережа заявила, що засмучена позицією свого давнього партнера. «Ми розчаровані, що Yahoo, наш бізнес-партнер протягом тривалого часу і компанія, що систематично отримувала вигоду від своєї асоціації з Facebook, вирішила вдатися до судової тяганини», - сказано у заяві соцмережі.

Yahoo натомість доводить свою правоту тим, що впродовж років інвестувала «значні ресурси у дослідження та розробки». Це, на думку позивачів, уплинуло на розвиток технологій, але патенти отримали інші компанії. «На жаль, питання з Facebook залишається нерозв’язаним», - заявляють у пошуковику.

Раніше Yahoo, доходи якої останніми роками сильно знижуються, отримала сотні мільйонів доларів від врегулювання патентного спору із Google. Він стосувався ще 2004 року, періоду, коли найбільший нині пошуковик лише починав здобувати популярність. Спір стосувався системи генерування реклами, яку бачить користувач поруч із результатами пошуку.

Цього разу компанія сподівається на аналогічний результат.
