Президент Кыргызской Республики Алмазбек Атамбаев назвал датой проведения очередных президентских выборов 19 ноября. Об этом сообщила пресс-служба президента Кыргызстана, передает «ДС«.

Как отмечается, в среду, 15 февраля, Атамбаев принял главу Центральной комиссии по выборам и проведению референдумов Нуржан Шайлдабекову.

«За оставшиеся до выборов девять месяцев надо устранить все недочеты и упущения в работе и обеспечить полностью открытые и честные выборы нового главы государства», — заявил президент.

Он также отметил, что «только честные и свободные выборы обеспечат легитимность новой власти и смогут гарантировать стабильность в стране».

Напомним, что президент Кыргызской Республики избирается на один шестилетний срок. Таким образом, один человек может только один раз в жизни занимать столь высокий пост в стране.

Ранее Атамбаев подписал указ об обнародовании официального текста обновленной Конституции. В Основной закон Кыргызстана было внесено около 40 различных поправок, а также устранено более 60 неточностей.
