На пост президента Словаччини під час виборів 16 березня претендуватиме 15 кандидатів.

За останніми опитуваннями, найвищі шанси здобути перемогу у президентських перегонах мають Роберт Містрік – учений, підприємець і політик, співзасновник партії Sloboda a Solidarita ("Свобода і солідарність", SaS) і словацький дипломат, віце-президент Єврокомісії Марош Шефчович.

Серед кандидатів також є голова владної партії Most-Híd Бела Буґар, лідер ультраправих Lidová strana Naše Slovensko ("Народної партії "Наша Словаччина") Мар’ян Котлеба, представник опозиційного руху Jsme Rodina ("Ми родина") Мілан Крайняк, колишній голова словацького парламенту Франтішек Міклошко, голова громадського об’єднання Slovenské hnutí obrody ("Словацький рух відродження") Роберт Швец, підприємець Богуміла Таухманнова і юрист Зузана Чапутова.

Чинний президент Андрей Кіска заявив раніше, що не висуватиме свою кандидатуру.
