У США незалежний експерт з комп'ютерної безпеки Кріс Вікері виявив у відкритому доступі в інтернеті базу даних з інформацією про 191 мільйон виборців, повідомляє Reuters.

В базі були вказані імена, адреси, дати народження, номери телефонів, партійна приналежність і адреси електронної пошти людей по всіх 50 штатах. Тільки щоб завантажити 300 гб знадобилося близько доби.

Незважаючи на те, що у США інформація про виборців вважається відкритою, збір даних вимагатиме багато часу і великих витрат. А відкритою базою могли скористатися злочинці.

Поки що власник інформації невідомий, а Вікері працює спільно з федеральними властями, які мають намір закрити публічний доступ.
