Первый ролик под названием «Post-Season» – 30-секундное видео, презентующее новый сервис «Моменты» в Twitter спортивным фанатам. Подготовкой рекламных роликов занималось агентство TBWAChiatDay, наиболее известное по созданию кампании «1984» для Apple. Пресс-служба Twitter не раскрыла сумму затрат на производство и трансляцию рекламы на телеканалах США. При этом понятно, что цель компании – побудить больше людей использовать сервис.

В третьем квартале этого года Twitter увеличил свою аудиторию лишь на 4 млн человек, и в настоящее время она составляет 320 млн активных пользователей в месяц. В США – 66 млн человек, и эта цифра не меняется с января 2015 года.

Twitter надеется улучшить показатели роста аудитории, упростив функционал сервиса. Руководство компании предполагает, что он слишком сложный для новых пользователей. Следующая цель – привлечь к регулярному использованию сервиса тех пользователей, которые зарегистрированы в Twitter, но редко его посещают.

Во время конференции для аналитиков по итогам третьего квартала генеральный директор Twitter Джек Дорси заявил, что компания работает над рядом нововведений, призванных упростить использование платформы для новых пользователей.

Первое из них,«Моменты», было запущено три недели назад. Новый сервис предлагает пользователям выборку актуальных событий в Twitter. По словам Дорси, «Моменты» – это большой прорыв для компании. Этот раздел позволяет людям сразу увидеть, что происходит в сервисе, в отличие от организованной в обратном хронологическом порядке новостной ленты.

Первая ТВ-реклама Twitter была запущена в 2012 году. Она представляла собой ролик о сервисе, который был показан во время трансляции гонок NASCAR.
