Заявку на открытие биржи марихуаны в Комиссию по торговле товарными фьючерсами направила компания Seed Commodities Exchange (Seed CX), пишет сайт "24"

По словам представителей компании, на новой площадке планируется осуществлять продажу семян, целых растений и растительную вытяжку. Ориентировочное начало работы биржи – в мае, когда начнется новый сельскохозяйственный сезон.

Чтобы привлечь средства в свой проект, сотрудники Seed Commodities Exchange разослали более 11 тысяч электронных писем, а также проехали более 70 тысяч километров ради встреч с 604 инвесторами. В результате было собрано около 3,42 миллиона долларов от 50 инвесторов, имена которых держатся в секрете.

Отмечается, что биржа будет функционировать только в тех штатах, где марихуана уже легализована.
