В четверг утром сотрудники Полиции безопасности провели санкционированный обыск в доме бывшего главного редактора портала Ves.lv Дениса Бартецкого. Основанием для таких мер послужило размещение им на портале Avaaz.org шуточной интернет-петиции о присоединении Латвии к США
В разговоре с порталом Delfi Бартецкий отметил, что петиция стала ответом на приговор суда Максиму Коптелову, получившему реальный срок за размещение в интернете петиции о присоединении Латвии к России.
"Я просто полностью скопировал петицию Коптелова, заменив Россию на США, чтобы показать абсурдность ситуации. Но эту шутку тоже восприняли всерьез. Не знаю, начала ли ПБ уголовный процесс по собственной инициативе или же на основании заявления какого-то гражданина. Вполне допускаю оба варианта", — отметил Бартецкий.
Сотрудники ПБ пришли с обыском ранним утром 14 апреля. В ходе проверки были изъяты все электронные носители, а также мобильный телефон. Позже Бартецкий также побывал на допросе в Полиции безопасности.
"Пока я не могу сказать, по какой статье начат уголовный процесс. Думаю, по той же, что и в отношении Коптелова", — пояснил Денис Бартецкий.
