Конституційний суд Іспанії призупинив дію двох резолюцій парламенту Каталонії щодо референдуму про незалежність провінції у 2017 році.

За іспанськими законами, призупинити дію законодавчих актів можна лише на п'ять місяців, після чого призупинення або стає постійним, або може відхилене.

Суд також попередив президента Каталонії Карлеса П'юджмонт і спікера парламенту Карме Форкаделя про те, що їм загрожує кримінальна відповідальність у разі невиконання цього рішення.
