Почти три сотни человек не смогли пережить кончину государственного деятеля Джаярамы Джаялалиты, которая умерла 5 декабря.

Как сообщает агентство ANI, 280 человек погибли в результате шока и скорби, которые они испытали, узнав о смерти министра штата Тамилнад. Детали и обстоятельства, которые привели к гибели большого числа людей, не приводятся.

Ранее правительство Индии объявило однодневный траур по скончавшейся главе штата Тамилнад.

В 2015 году высокий суд штата Карнатака в Индии освободил от обвинений в коррупции Джаялалиту, осужденную на четыре года тюрьмы и штраф в $16,36 млн за взяточничество.
