В Азербайджане оппозиция заявила, что будет бойкотировать президентские выборы в стране, назначенные на 11 апреля.

Об этом сообщает Радио Свобода.

Кроме того, национальный совет демократических сил сообщил, что готовит акции протеста.

Решение о бойкоте было принято в связи с тем, что власти перенесли выборы с октября на апрель.

Представители оппозиции считают, что это попытка помешать кандидатам провести полноценную кампанию.

Власти же утверждают, что перенос выборов связан с государственными торжествами и международными мероприятиями, которые пройдут в конце года.

Ранее сообщалось, что президентские выборы в Азербайджане должны были состояться 17 октября, однако были перенесены на 11 апреля.
