В Украине уже неоднократно предпринимались попытки создать отечественную социальную сеть, но большинство из них претерпели фиаско. Исключением стал проект Love.ua, объединивший первый миллион пользователей.

Проект Love.ua стартовал в 2014 году и изначально разрабатывался как сервис знакомств. В "наследство" от прежнего сайта новая соцсеть получила главную страницу и некоторый функционал, позволяющий легко искать людей по различным параметрам. По словам руководителя проекта - киевлянина Андрея Морозова, его команда уже завершает внедрение «групп», которые позволят пользователям объединяться по интересам. Кроме того, в самое ближайшее время сервис обзаведется другими стандартными функциями социальных сетей, в частности, расширенной поддержкой мультимедийного контента (аудио, видео и др.).

«Я зарегистрирован во многих социальных сетях, популярных в Украине, и удивлялся, почему соотечественники выбирают российские соцсети. В нынешней политической ситуации я окончательно убедился, что создание украинской социальной сети - важное и полезное дело. Учитывая, что свой проект я изначально создавал с возможностью масштабирования, то сейчас он быстро обрастает привычными функциями соцсетей, и в ближайшие недели сможет полноценно заменить заблокированные у нас «Вконтакте» и «Одноклассники», - рассказал основатель Love.ua.

Пиковый рост регистраций в Love.ua пришелся на 2015 год, а сейчас проект ежедневно пополняется тысячами новых пользователей. Таким образом уже в начале следующего года соцсеть сможет объединить уже два миллиона украинцев и пользователей из других стран. Проект пока доступен на английском, русском и украинском языках. Благодаря технологии для определения местонахождения пользователя пользователь сразу видит локализацию сайта на родном языке.

В планах разработчиков внедрить на сайте уникальную функцию - поиск людей по фотографии. Пользователю достаточно будет загрузить фотографию и система найдет снимки наиболее похожих зарегистрированных пользователей. Сейчас эта функция работает в тестовом режиме и вскоре станет доступной всем желающим.
