У Туреччині 99 колишніх депутатів, обраних від різних політичних партій в країні, зробили заяву проти переходу на президентську систему правління.

Про це повідомляє Європрейська правда з посиланням на Turkish Minute.

"У заяві підкреслюється важливість поділу влади та системи стримувань і противаг, оскільки є побоювання, що запропоновані зміни будуть розмивати ці особливості демократії", - повідомляє видання.

Також колишні депутати, в тому числі з правлячої партії Справедливості і розвитку та з Республіканської Народної партії, заявили, що право оголошувати надзвичайний стан має бути закріплене за парламентом, а не за виконавчою владою.

Нагадаємо, нещодавно парламент Туреччини у першому читанні затвердив останню статтю конституційної реформи, яка розширить повноваження президента країни.

Конституційні поправки передбачають розширення повноважень президента, який одноосібно очолюватиме виконавчу гілку влади.

Зазначимо, що Ердоган і його прихильники стверджують, що Туреччині необхідно посилити інститут президентства, щоб не допустити повернення крихкого коаліційного уряду, але противники бояться, що реформа буде сприяти авторитаризму.
