Вибори мера міста Слупська на півночі Польщі вперше в історії цієї країни виграв ЛГБТ-активіст, гей Роберт Бєдрон з партії "Твій рух".

Про це повідомляє видання Polska Times, - пише "Європейська правда"

З привітаннями до нього зателефонував конкурент у другому турі виборів Збігнєв Конвіньський.

Як повідомляє Associated Press, на місцевих виборах в Польщі цього року зареєстровано рекордну кількість кандидатів, які відкрито заявили про свою гомосексуальну орієнтацію.

При цьому Бєдрон раніше став єдиним у Польщі геєм, якого обрали до Сейму. Це сталося у 2011 році.

"Я бачу, що польське суспільство швидко засвоїло урок толерантності. Тому я оптимістично налаштований і щасливий, і гордий з польського суспільства", - сказав Роберт Бєдрон.

Варто також зазначити, що виборча кампанія Бєдрона обійшлась йому в 14 тис. злотих (близько 3,4 тис. євро).
