Кандидат у президенти Молдови від Демократичної партії Маріан Лупу, який мав третій президентський рейтинг, зняв свою кандидатуру на користь єдиної прозахідної кандидатки Майі Санду, пише ВВС

Про це пан Лупу заявив на прес-конференції в Кишиневі.

Своє рішення він пояснив необхідністю мати єдиного проєвропейського кандидата для збереження європейського вектору розвитку Молдови.

Проросійський кандидат від соціалістів Ігор Додон наразі лідирує у перегонах з близько 30% підтримки.

Найпопулярнішим прозахідним кандидатом є лідерка партії "Дії і справедливості" Майя Санду з 15% підтримки.

Маріана Лупу підтримували близько 12% молдован.

Вибори президента Молдови пройдуть 30 жовтня, а другий тур може відбутись 13 листопада.
