Київська підземка доєднається до популярного соціального руху – буккроссингу. Полиці для безкоштовного обміну книгами будуть встановлені на станціях «Золоті ворота» та «Політехнічний інститут». 

Акція розпочнеться у середу, 29 квітня, разом з відкриттям фотовиставки «Підземне київське читання», створеної у співпраці з однойменною фейсбук-спільнотою. В експозиції будуть представлені знімки людей за читанням у метро,повідомляється на Фейсбук-сторінці КП "Київський метрополітен"

«Книги – один із найкорисніших способів проведення часу, причому не лише у підземці. Це - досвід, знання, емоції, нові цілі та захоплення. Тому дуже б хотілося, щоб наші пасажири обмінювалися своїми ідеями, знайомилися та створювали нові проекти», - сказав начальник КП «Київський метрополітен» Віктор Брагінський. 
Він додав, що останній Книжковий Арсенал, який відбувся у столиці, продемонстрував цікавість українських читачів до справжньої книги, яку не замінять жодні ґаджети. 
Як соціальний рух, буккроссинг з’явився ще у 2002 році. Наразі до нього долучилося понад 2 мільйони учасників, а «бібліотека» нараховує близько 15 мільйонів видань.
