Gmail дозволяє відновити доступ до листа в будь-який момент після відправки або навіть послати листа з таймером самознищення.


Після введення в червні в Gmail функції скасування відправлення листа, що дозволяє протягом 30 секунд скасувати відправку листа у разі знаходження в ньому помилки, Google вирішив випустити розширення Chrom, яке отримало назву Dmail, що дозволяє відправляти листи з таймером самознищення. Про це повідомляє Корреспондент.
Dmail дозволяє відновити доступ до листа в будь-який момент після відправки або навіть послати листа з таймером самознищення.

Крім того, функції, які пропонуються розширенням, доступні навіть в тому випадку, якщо воно не встановлене на комп'ютері одержувача. Це стало можливо завдяки тому, що Dmail насправді не видаляє листи з ящика одержувача, а просто зашифровує їх доставку.

У випадку, якщо одержувач, у якого не встановлений Dmail, отримає такий лист, він буде відкритий в новому вікні (якщо Dmail встановлений, то лист просто відкриється в Gmail) і після того, як користувач його відкриє, з'явиться повідомлення про те, що він буде незабаром знищений і не буде доступний далі.
