У Гаїті встановилося фактичне безвладдя. Країна перебуває на межі хаосу. Президент країни Мішель Мартеї офіційно завершив свою каденцію на посаді глави держави. А нового президента так і не обрали, повідомляє 5 канал.

Після кількох місяців масових заворушень та протестів країна так і не спромоглася призначити другий тур президентських виборів. Після першого раунду перегонів кандидат від опозиції звинуватив владу у фальсифікаціях. Через це суд постійно відкладав вибори, а нещодавно взагалі призупинив їх проведення. Щоправда, в останні години свого президентства Мартеї домовився з урядом про формування перехідної адміністрації. Однак її функції та права досі незрозумілі.

Скандально відомий президент Мартеї подав у відставку торік під тиском громадськості, яка звинуватила його в корупції та розкраданні бюджету. Масові антиурядові заворушення тривають вже понад рік.
