У Facebook Messenger з'явилися нові функції: опитування та швидкий доступ до грошових переказів. Наразі скористатися ними можуть тільки користувачі в США.
 

Функція опитувань доступна в групових обговореннях. Тобто, в чаті повинно бути більше двох користувачів. Створити нове опитування може будь-який його учасник. Для цього потрібно натиснути на кнопку «Polls» у вікні повідомлення або ж натиснути на «More» і вибрати «Poll». Користувачі за межами США будуть бачити опитування, але взяти участь в них не зможуть, пшие Media Sapiens

Створення опитування в Facebook Messenger.

Для реалізації функції грошових переказів Facebook використала технологію машинного навчання. Система аналізуватиме значення і зміст слів, які використовуються в обговореннях. Якщо вона помітить, що користувач хоче здійснити грошовий переказ, вона активує відповідну функцію.  Грошові перекази між користувачами з'явилися в Messenger в березні цього року.

Нагадаємо, боти в Facebook Messenger тепер можуть розсилати промо-повідомлення. Обмеження, яке встановила компанія: бот зможе писати користувачеві не частіше, ніж один раз на добу (24 годин від моменту останнього контакту з користувачами).  

На початку літа Facebook обмежила функцію повідомлень у межах соцмережі. Для користувачів мобільної версії сайту відправлення повідомлень тепер можливе лише через додаток Facebook Messenger. Вже наприкінці липня Facebook відзвітувала про збільшення щомісячної аудиторії Facebook Messenger до позначки 1 млрд користувачів.
