У середу, 6 вересня на площі Ринок, під стінами ратуші, відбувся пікет проти повернення до України Михеїла Саакашвілі. Участь в акції взяло кілька десятків людей.

Акцію проводила громадська організація «Захист звичайних людей», яка зареєстрована у Києві. Її голова, Дмитро Павліченко, розповів ZAXID.NET, що причиною для протесту стали «люди, які були ошукані за часів, коли обласну мерію очолював пан Саакашвілі».

Нагадаємо, що з травня 2015 по листопад 2016 року Михеїл Саакашвілі був головою Одеської облдержадміністрації.

«Дуже багато людей постраждало від свавілля та порушення їх законних прав. Ми приїхали з Києва, також нас тут підтримали ще люди, які поділяють наші погляди. А погляди наші наступні: ми проти іноземних колаборантів, ми вважаємо, що урядом повинні керувати українці і ми проти розвалу країни. Зараз ми бачимо, що ситуація дуже небезпечна. Бачимо, що протистояння між Порошенком і Саакашвілі – штучне. Ми вважаємо, що треба звести на «ні» таке протистояння. Тому ми сюди прийшли, щоб попередити його», - заявив Дмитро Павліченко.

У офіційній заявці метою акції було зазначено як «привернення уваги громадськості до нерівності інституцій країни перед законом».
