Екс-президент Бразилії Луїс Інасіу Лула да Сілва постане перед судом за можливу спробу перешкодити розслідуванню у справі про корупційні схеми навколо нафтового концерну Petrobras.

Політика, який займав пост президента країни з 2003 по 2011 роки, звинувачують в отриманні хабарів від великих будівельних компаній і відмиванні грошей.

Йдеться про укладення багатомільярдних контрактів із найбільшими підприємствами країни, наприклад, на будівництво бурових платформ.
Звинувачення у справі висунуті Лулі да Сілві і ще шістьом підозрюваним, в тому числі екс-сенаторові Делсідіу ду Амараль. Представники екс-президента стверджують, що підозри на його рахунок безпідставні.
Слідство у справі екс-президента триває з березня 2014 року. Як стверджує сторона звинувачення, існують докази злочинного збагачення Лули да Сілви, а також фінансування ним передвиборчих кампаній і політичних угруповань, в тому числі Партії трудящих під його головуванням.
