Програмісти сервісу мікроблогів Twitter тестують автоматичний пошук, блокування образливих висловлювань та їх межі – що варто визначати як образу, а що ні.

«Користувачі мають почуватись у безпеці, - кажуть розробники Twitter, - щоб могти максимально виразити себе. Ми повинні бути впевнені, що ніхто не мовчить через страх бути приниженим. Саме з цією метою сьогодні ми розробляємо вдосконалення платформи, для безпечної взаємодії зі світом».

Планується ввести дві принципові зміни: одна пов’язана із забороненим контентом, інша – з тим, як регулюватимуть порушення у мережі Twitter. Тепер блокуватимуться не лише прямі конкретні, а й опосередковані погрози можливим насиллям.

Механізми будуть впроваджені різними методами. Один з них – прохання або видалити коментар, або вказати свій номер телефону. Крім того, передбачається опція блокування доступу до аккаунту упродовж певного періоду. Це буде особливо ефективно у випадку переслідування людини злочинцем, кажуть у компанії.
