20 марта состоялся телефонный разговор президента США Дональда Трампа с президентом России Владимиром Путиным, сообщает NBS News со ссылкой на источник в Белом доме.

Пресс-секретарь президента Дмитрий Песков подтвердил РБК, что состоялся телефонный разговор Путина и Трампа.

О содержании беседы NBS News не сообщает. Это первый разговор лидеров двух стран после прошедших в минувшее воскресенье выборов президента России, на которых Путин, по предварительным данным ЦИК, победил с результатом более 76%.

Обновление. В сообщении на сайте Кремля говорится, что разговор состоялся по инициативе американской стороны и Трамп поздравил Путина с победой на президентских выборах.

Обсуждались усилия по ограничению гонки вооружений, сфера энергетики, сирийская проблема, ситуация в Украине и на Корейском полуострове.

Накануне официальный представитель Белого дома Хоган Гидли сказал, что в Вашингтоне без удивления восприняли переизбрание Владимира Путина на пост президента, но телефонного звонка с поздравлениями со стороны Трампа не планируется.
