Президента США Дональда Трампа закидали прапорцями з російським триколором у будинку конгресу на Капітолійському пагорбі.

Інцидент стався перед обідом, на якому глава держави планував зустрітися з сенаторами-республіканцями. Коли Трамп проходив повз журналістів, невідомий кинув у його бік пачку прапорців з криками «Трамп — це зрада».

Президент не відреагував на події. Протестуючий був затриманий охороною будівлі.

30 квітня в Пенсільванії між трибуною, з якої Трамп виголошував промову перед своїми прихильниками, і камерою ЗМІ невідомий підкинув у повітря кілька російських прапорців.

24 лютого з Трампом стався схожий інцидент. На конференції консервативних політичних дій невідомі, як стверджується, дістали російські прапорці з написаним на них ім'ям президента США і

почали роздавати їх присутнім. Відповідальність за акцію взяв на себе рух Americans "Take Action" («Американці починають діяти»).
