Андерсон повідомила, що порадилася з синами, 19-річним Брендоном і 17-річним Діланом, перед тим як дати згоду на фотосесію. Вона пояснила, що в минулому дітей іноді висміювали через її знімки. Проте цього разу, як зазначила Андерсон, Брендон і Ділан її повністю підтримали.

Випуск з фотосесією Андерсон надійде в продаж в США 11 грудня.

У жовтні 2015 Playboy оголосив, що з березня 2016 відмовиться від публікації в своїй друкованій версії світлин повністю оголених жінок і отримає віковий рейтинг "13+". Зміну редакційної політики пояснили бажанням збільшити аудиторію видання. Рішення схвалив засновник Playboy Х'ю Хефнер.

У серпні 2014 фотографії оголених жінок перестали з'являтися на сайті журналу. У результаті середній вік читачів знизився з 47 до 30 років, а кількість відвідувачів сайту зросла в чотири рази.
