Батько своїм президентським указом призначив Дарігу Назарбаєву заступником прем’єр-міністра Казахстану

Даріга Назарбаєва має 52 роки. Вона – старша дочка президента Казахстану Нурсултана Назарбаєва.

До цього призначення Даріга була віце-спікером мажилісу – нижньої палати казахського парламенту.

З квітня минулого року вона керувала парламентською фракцією провладної партії "Нур Отан".

На початку 2000-х років вона очолювала партію "Асар", яка в 2006 році була об’єднана з "Нур Отан".

У 2007 році Даріга на певний час залишила політику. Це пов’язують зі скандалом навколо її колишнього чоловіка Рахата Алієва.

У лютому 2015 року Алієва знайшли повішеним в одиночній камері віденської тюрми, де він чекав екстрадиції до Казахстану.
