Для этого с помощью SpaceX на орбиту будет доставлен компактный спутник CubeSat, с которого и будут демонстрироваться объявления.

Согласно имеющимся данным, в настоящее время специалисты GEC разрабатывают будущий спутник, на одной стороне которого размещён пиксельный экран. Именно он и будет использоваться для показа рекламы с орбиты. Для вывода информации на дисплей планируется использовать несколько специальных токенов, отвечающих за отображение пикселей по осям X и Y, их яркость и цвет, а также длительность показа.

Проблема в том, что CubeSat является миниатюрным спутником, поэтому рассмотреть с поверхности Земли размещённый на нём дисплей крайне затруднительно. Вместо этого аппарат планируется оснастить селфи-палкой с камерой, которая будет направлена на экран. Снимаемое таким образом видео в режиме реального времени будет транслироваться на YouTube или Twitch.

Клиенты GEC смогут покупать рекламные токены за криптовалюту, в том числе Ethereum и Dogecoin. Такой подход в компании объяснили стремлением сделать доступнее космические услуги. Для доставки аппарата в космическое пространство планируется использовать ракету-носитель Falcon 9, запуск которой должен состояться в начале следующего года.
