Американський репер Snoop Dogg запропонував свою кандидатуру на посаду глави популярної соціальної мережі Twitter. Про це музикант написав у своєму мікроблозі.

Заява репера виникла після повідомлення чинного генерального директора компанії Діка Костоло про те, що він залишає свою посаду. Костоло піде у відставку з 1 липня, при цьому за ним буде збережено його місце в раді директорів компанії,пише Корреспондент.

Посаду генерального директора Twitter тимчасово займе один з творців мережі мікроблогів Джек Дорсі. Він керував компанією до 2008 року, а після відходу запустив сервіс інтернет-платежів Square.

Сервіс мікроблогів Twitter був заснований в 2006 році, штаб-квартира компанії розташована в Сан-Франциско (штат Каліфорнія). Дік Костоло прийшов у компанію у вересні 2009-го, а через місяць став операційним директором. У 2010-му очолив Twitter після відходу з цієї посади Ева Вільямса.
