Избирательная комиссия Сирии объявила о победе партии Баас (Партии арабского социалистического возрождения) на парламентских выборах, которые состоялись 13 апреля в подконтрольных правительству областях страны. Партия Баас находится у власти с 1963 года, а ее генеральным секретарем является президент Сирии Башар Асад, передает DW

 

По данным избирательной комиссии, все 200 кандидатов от единого списка, составленного партией Баас и ее союзниками, прошли в парламент. Общая численность депутатов составляет 250 человек. Таким образом, Асад снова обеспечил себе полную поддержку парламента.

Оппозиция призывала бойкотировать эти выборы. В ООН также не хотят признавать их результаты и рассчитывают на переизбрание парламента и президента Сирии в течение ближайших 18 месяцев.
