Нині немає підстав говорити про наявність умов для проведення виборів на Донбасі, але сторони мають лишатися в переговорному процесі для створення таких умов.

Про це заявив керівник міністерства закордонних справ Німеччини, діючий голова ОБСЄ Франк-Вальтер-Штайнмаєр, відповідаючи в залі ПАРЄ на запитання керівника української делегації Володимира Ар’єва,  повідомляє зі Страсбургу кореспондент "Європейської правди".

"Ви праві, наразі не доводиться говорити про наявність умов для виборів, але це не означає, що ми не маємо працювати над ними", - визнав міністр.

"Треба продовжити цю роботу, не шкодуючи ані часу, ані зусиль. І я сподіваюся, у нас буде час та зусилля для того, щоби домовитися про закон, який дозволить проведення виборів", - додав він.

Штайнмаєр знову наголосив про необхідність переговорів щодо політичного пакету "Мінська".

"В політичному пакеті два або навіть три документи – закон про особливий статус, амністія та вибори...

Так, в даний момент ми не можемо говорити про проведення виборів, але треба пам’ятати, що у нас також немає альтернативи мінським угодам", - додав він.

Нагадаємо, міністр закордонних справ Німеччини Франк-Вальтер Штайнмаєр наполягає на початку виконання політичних пунктів Мінських домовленостей.
