"ВКонтакте" просит Торговое представительство США не включать социальную сеть в так называемый "список 301", в который США ежегодно вносят нарушителей авторских и смежных прав, сообщают "Ведомости".

Как раз сейчас торгпредставительство США формирует новый пиратский "список 301" за 2014 год и собирает мнения всех заинтересованных сторон.

На сайте ведомства в конце октября были опубликованы позиции представителей крупнейших правообладателей музыкальной и киноиндустрии - Американской ассоциации звукозаписывающих компаний (RIAA) и Американской ассоциации кинокомпаний (MPAA). Они уже порекомендовали американскому регулятору вновь включить "ВКонтакте" в "список 301" как одного из крупнейших в мире дистрибуторов пиратского контента.

Присутствие в "списке 301" может негативно сказаться на бизнесе его участников.
