Українська льотчиця, народний депутат Надія Савченко, яку утримують у СІЗО в Росії, привітала українців із зимовими святами.

«Ми, українці, варті найкращого. Ми заслуговуємо на гідне і вільне життя. І у нас обов’язково все буде краще, ніж є», – йдеться в привітанні, яке оприлюднила сестра Надії Савченко, Віра.

17 грудня суд у Донецьку Ростовської області Росії продовжив арешт громадянки України Надії Савченко до 16 квітня 2016 року. Від 18 грудня Савченко оголосила голодування. За словами адвокатів, після вироку українка планує оголосити сухе голодування, вимагаючи звільнення.

Надію Савченко у Росії звинувачують у вбивстві двох співробітників російського телебачення, а також у замаху на вбивство групи сепаратистів і незаконному перетині російського кордону.

Савченко та її захист звинувачення відкидають і заявляють, що на момент загибелі російських журналістів її вже захопили в полон сепаратисти, які потім примусово переправили її до Росії.
