"Я прийняв рішення стати кандидатом у президенти на виборах 2017 року. Франція вимагає, щоб їй віддали все. Я зрозумів, що у мене є сили вести цю боротьбу в цей поворотний історичний момент", - написав він.

Ніколя Саркозі - 23-й президент Французької республіки (2007-2012), на президентських виборах 6 травня 2012 року програв кандидату-соціалісту Франсуа Олланду.
