В Samsung Pay использована технология LoopPay, что обеспечит доступ к ней до 90% ритейлеров. Samsung Pay доступна на смартфонах Galaxy S6, S6 edge и S6 edge+, а также на Galaxy Note 5, работающих в сетях мобильных операторов AT&T Inc., T-Mobile U.S. Inc., Sprint Corp. и U.S. Cellular Corp.

В Южной Корее система начала работать еще 20 августа.

Планируется, что Samsung Pay в дальнейшем будет доступна в Великобритании, Испании и Китае, сообщает MarketWatch.

Apple запустила платежную систему для мобильных устройств Apple Pay в октябре прошлого года. Google недавно объявила об аналогичных планах в отношении Android Pay. Таким образом, конкуренция в этом сегменте все нарастает. В некоторых аспектах Samsung придется сложнее, чем Apple, поскольку значительное число ее устройств работает на ОС Android и будет иметь доступ и к Android Pay.
