Госдума может ввести ограничения в отношении американских СМИ в России в ответ на действия США в отношении российского телеканала Russia Today уже на следующей неделе. Об этом заявил Дождю председатель Госдумы Вячеслав Володин.

«У нас на следующей неделе три пленарных заседания, вполне вероятно, что мы успеем принять закон в трех чтениях уже до конца недели», — отметил Володин.

Представители всех фракций собрались обсудить законопроект, который станет ответом на действия США в отношении российского телеканала Russia Today. Минюст США обязал RT зарегистрироваться в реестре иностранных агентов. 

Ранее в пятницу Володин поручил профильным думским комитетам подготовить комплекс мер по защите от вмешательства американских СМИ во внутренние дела России. Он подчеркнул, что это будет только реакция на шаги американской стороны, которая добивается регистрации RT и агентства Sputnik иностранными агентами в США. 

Российский закон об иностранных агентах не распространяется на СМИ, напомнил Володин депутатам, в то время как США собираются распространить свой закон об иноагентах на RT.

Ранее Минюст США объявил о том, что RT должен до 13 ноября зарегистрироваться в качестве иностранного агента. Если он это не сделает в установленный срок, глава телеканала может быть арестован, а счета компании — заморожены.
