Інформація про те, що нібито у складі батальйону "Айдар" воювала та була вбита терористка Саманта Лютвейт, більш відома як "Біла вдова", не відповідає дійсності.

Про це у четвер заявив речник Інформаційно-аналітичного центру РНБО Андрій Лисенко,пише  Українська правда

"Це чергова вигадка російських ЗМІ на кшталт "розіп’ятого хлопчика", подібних ми вже бачили багато. Нічого спільного з реальністю ця інформація не має. Цей фейк вигаданий спеціально для американської та британської аудиторії, оскільки тема "Білої вдови" для них є дражливою" - зазначив Лисенко.

На думку речника РНБО, особу Лютвейт обрано для дискредитації українських військ тому, що у Британії та США болісно сприймуть звістку про начебто її участь у боях на боці України.

"Ця особа причетна до загибелі багатьох людей, зокрема, підозрюється в участі у нападі на торговельний центр у столиці Кенії Найробі. Її чоловік влаштував теракт у метро Лондона у 2005 р. Російські ЗМІ намагаються спекулювати на горі людей. Це цинічна брехня, і ми раді, що все більше людей на Заході вчаться впізнавати та викривати російську пропаганду" - підкреслив Лисенко.

Командир батальйону "Айдар" Сергій Мельничук також назвав маячнею відомості про начебто участь "Білої вдови" у складі його підрозділу.

"Ще трохи, і росіяни договоряться до того, що у складі "Айдару" воює Усама бен Ладен", - додав він.

У четвер деякі ЗМІ повідомили, з посиланням на терористів "ЛНР", що Саманту Лютвейт вбив снайпер.
