Представники російського дипломатичного корпусу заявили про власне занепокоєння через те, що у Пентагоні випустили "Посібник з російської військової справи нового покоління", у якому повідомляється про військову стратегію РФ. Така заява була зроблена прес-секретарем посольства Росії у Сполучених Штатах Миколою Лахоніним. На переконання працівників посольства, публікація матеріалів щодо війни з Росією є «вкрай тривожним знаком», - повідромляє PRпортал  

«Лише у страшному маренні можна було уявити щось подібне! Американська сторона пропонує конкретні заходи по методикам навчання особового складу до дій саме проти російських Збройних сил. Подібного роду підтвердження того, що американські військові готуються до прямого конфлікту з Російською Федерацією, викликає у нас велику тривогу, особливо враховуючи нинішню ситуацію в сфері європейської безпеки, яка і так є непростою», - сказав Лахонін

Крім того, російський дипломат заважив, що Москві та Вашингтону конче необхідно співпрацювати «по основним викликам безпеки країн, а не розповсюджувати страшилки». Лахонін зазначив, що Росія неодноразово заявляла, що не приймає участі в конфлікті на Донбасі.
