Російська Федеральна служба з нагляду в сфері зв’язку, інформаційних технологій та масових комунікацій готує заходи проти пошукової системи Google. Про це повідомив керівник відомства Олександр Жаров, передає Главком.

Він заявив, що від компанії Google зажадали пояснити термін «ранжування» щодо новин сайтів RT і Sputnik, які фінансуються російською владою.

18 листопада один з керівників Google Ерік Шмідт заявив, відповідаючи на питання про Sputnik, що в компанії розмірковують, як знизити помітність «подібних сайтів».

У «Роскомнагляді» стверджують, що стосовно пошуковика можуть бути вжиті «серйозні заходи» в разі «недружніх дій».

У компанії пояснили, що Шмідт мав на увазі анонсовані в квітні заходи щодо зниження в пошуковій видачі матеріалів низької якості, а також статей, які навмисно спотворюють інформацію.

У жовтні соціальна мережа Twitter заборонила рекламу від акаунтів RT і Sputnik. Міністерство закордонних справ Росії назвало це рішення «порушенням свободи слова». У листопаді представники Facebook, Google і Twitter на слуханнях у Конгресі США дали свідчення про спроби вплинути на президентські вибори 2016 року за допомогою соціальних мереж.
