Renault придумала новый вид адресной рекламы и способ ее доставки до потребителя. Технология, разработанная компанией, с помощью номерных знаков идентифицирует модель и марку автомобиля, после чего на большие дисплеи выводится рекламное сообщение, адресованное конкретному водителю с описанием его автомобиля всплывающим текстом. Надпись будет отображать марку, цвет или конфигурацию кузова его машины. Таким образом французы хотят привлечь внимание к новому Renault Megane. В данный момент технология тестируется в одном из районов Лондона.
Система сделана на основе игры под названием I-Spy. При этом, как уверяют создатели, реклама не будет отвлекать водителей от дороги, поскольку объявление увидят только те автомобилисты, которые остановятся перед стоп-линией в ожидании сигнала светофора. Несмотря на то, что объявление будет адресовано владельцу конкретной машины, никакие персональные данные, касающиеся его автомобиля, не будут сохраняться или куда-либо передаваться, уверяют в Renault. Камеры для отслеживания автомобилей установлены на рекламных щитах.
