На вечірньому засіданні у четвер, 28 січня, Верховна Рада України підтримала подання Генеральної прокуратури України на притягнення до кримінальної відповідальності, затримання та арешт позафракційного народного депутата Сергія Клюєва.

Як повідомлялося, Генпрокуратура звинувачує Клюєва у вчиненні злочинів, передбачених ч. 4 ст. 190 (шахрайство) та ч. 5 ст 191 (привласнення, розтрата майна або заволодіння ним шляхом зловживання службовим становищем в особливо великих розмірах або організованою групою) КК України.

3 червня Верховна Рада дала згоду на притягнення Клюєва до кримінальної відповідальності. У той же день політик намагався втекти з України через аеропорт Бориспіль, але не був пропущений працівниками Держприкордонслужби.

Тим не менш, йому все вже вдалося втекти. 11 червня Клюєв був оголошений у всеукраїнський розшук, подані документи для міжнародного розшуку.

Генпрокурор Віктор Шокін 16 червня направив у Верховну Раду подання про згоду на притягнення до кримінальної відповідальності, затримання та арешт Клюєва.

На початку листопада 2015 року стало відомо, що Генпрокуратура вирішила відкликати подання про затримання і арешт нардепа Сергія Клюєва.

На початку грудня 2015 року до Верховної Ради надійшло подання генпрокурора на затримання і арешт Клюєва.
