Многочисленные иностранные журналисты, освещающие государственный визит президента России Владимира Путина в Монголию, не могли не обратить внимания на его странное поведение. Во время торжественной встречи на площади Чингисхана в Улан-Баторе, когда монгольский военный оркестр заиграл государственный гимн России, Путин почему-то заплакал

Российский президент несколько раз вытер слезы с глаз правой рукой, а мимика лица и характерные подергивания кадыком не оставляли сомнений в его необычном психоэмоциональном состоянии. Интересно, что монгольский коллега Путина Цахиагийн Элбэгдорж оба государственных гимна простоял на трибуне совершенно спокойно. Странное поведение Путина видела вся Монголия: церемонию торжественной встречи транслировал в прямом эфире местный государственный телеканал "МNВ шууд".

Между тем, программа поездки Владимира Путина в Монголию была достаточно насыщенной, а в ходе визита прошли церемонии подписания целого ряда важных документов. В частности, Россия и Монголия заключили соглашение об отмене визового режима при взаимных поездках граждан, договор между РАО РЖД и Министерством дорог и транспорта Монголии о подряде на модернизацию Улан-Баторской железной дороги, соглашение между ОАО "Роснефть" и монгольским Минобразования о подготовке для Монголии специалистов нефтедобывающего профиля и многие другие контракты.
