Президент Владимир Путин попросил президента Сирии Башара Асада уйти в отставку. Об этом в пятницу, 22 января, пишет ТСН со ссилкой на Financial Times.

По данным издания, бывший глава ГРУ Игорь Сергун, который умер в начале января, ездил в Сирию, чтобы передать это сообщение голове Сирии, однако Асад в резкой форме отказался. Он дал понять, что отношения между Россией и Сирией не могут развиваться без его управления.

Напомним, ранее Путин согласился, что сирийский президент Башар Асад допускал ошибки во время сирийского конфликта. Однако, по его словам, Москва не готова к ситуации, чтобы Сирия пошла по пути Ливии и Ирака, поэтому следует делать все, чтобы поддержать законную власть.
