«Спасибо за все. Моя последняя просьба такая же, как и первая. Я прошу вас верить — не в мои способности создавать изменения, но в ваши», — написал Обама. На момент выхода заметки сообщение ретвитнули более 669 тысяч пользователей, свыше 1,4 миллиона поставили лайк.

Барак Обама – первый президент, активно использующий социальные сети. В Белом доме отмечали, что, помимо Twitter, он первым начал вести онлайн-трансляции в Facebook из Овального кабинета и отвечать на вопросы граждан на YouTube.

Обама, занимавший пост президента в течение двух сроков с 2008 года, покинет Белый дом 20 января. В этот день состоится инаугурация избранного президента Дональда Трампа.
