Цей прощальний твіт набрав півмільйона репостів і став найбільш популярним за весь час існування сторінки Обами у цій соціальній мережі. Діючий президент зазначив, що дякує своїм співгромадянам за все і закликав їх вірити в себе. «Я прошу вас вірити, але не у мою здатність щось змінити, а у вашу власну», - наголосив Обама.

Журналісти нагадують, що до цього найбільшої популярності здобув твіт Обами присвячений дозволу укладати одностатеві шлюби. Після того, як закінчиться інавгурація обраного президента Дональда Трампа (нагадаємо, її призначено на двадцяте січня 2017 року), акаунт Обами стане його особистою власністю.
