Процедуру оголошення імпічменту проти президента Бразилії Ділми Руссефф було розпочато в середу.

З такою ініціативою виступив спікер нижньої палати парламенту Едуардо Кунья за клопотанням опозиції, пише Reuters.

Главу держави звинувачують у порушенні податкового законодавства і маніпуляціях з державними фінансами з метою свого переобрання на виборах у минулому році.

«У зв'язку з рішенням Куньї хочу сказати, що у нього не було ніяких доказів про мої порушення», - сказала Руссефф у телезверненні до нації.

Вона також наголосила, що не має жодних рахунків за кордоном на відміну від спікера, який, до речі, перебуває під слідством за хабарництво і має банківські рахунки в Швейцарії.

Рішення про усунення президента Бразилії буде приймати спеціальний комітет, в який входять члени всіх парламентських партій. Прихильникам імпічменту необхідно набрати голоси двох третин членів палати (342 людини), щоб припинити її повноваження на 180 днів на час розгляду питання в Сенаті.
