Президент Болгарії Росен Плевнелієв заявив, що не хоче повернення країни у XIX століття й існування сфер впливу. Про це він сказав в ефірі каналу NOVA TV, передає Главком з посиланням на  агентство Novinite.

«Я люблю Росію, але не згоден з політикою сфер впливу російського президента, що повертає нас у XIX століття», – сказав Плевнелієв.

За його словами, політика Путіна ґрунтується більше на верховенстві сили, а не верховенстві права, і це може мати негативні наслідки для Болгарії.

Він закликав свого наступника Румена Радева засудити анексію Росією українського Криму і продемонструвати пронатовську і проєвропейську позицію Болгарії, щоб спинити хвилю критики і побоювань того, що він може стати жертвою російського впливу.

Плевнелієв залишає посаду президента Болгарії 22 січня.

Нагадаємо, перемогу на виборах президента Болгарії здобув проросійський кандидат від Соціалістичної партії генерал Румен Радев.
