Президент Азербайджану Ільхам Алієв призначив свою дружину Мехрібан Алієва першим віце-президентом країни

Розпорядження Алієва опубліковано 21 лютого на сайті голови держави, передає Depo.ua.

Посади першого віце-президента і віце-президента з'явилися в Конституції Азербайджану в вересні 2016 року. За 29 поправок до основного закону на референдумі висловилися близько 90 відсотків громадян.

Конституційна реформа також розширила повноваження президента Азербайджану і збільшила президентський термін з п'яти до семи років.

Нагадаємо, Мехрібан Алієва з 2005 року є депутатом Національних зборів Азербайджану.
