Премьер-министр Исландии Сигмундур Гюннлейгссон заявил, что не собирается подавать в отставку из-за причастности к оффшорной компании .Об этом сообщает grapevine.is.
 

«Я не рассматриваю возможность ухода. Это правительство добилось больших успехов, и есть еще много работы. Важно, что правительство сможет завершить работу, которую оно начало», — сказал Гюннлейгссон.

По его словам, его политическую судьбу должны будут решить на ближайших выборах, которые состоятся в 2017 году.

Гюннлейгссон также извинился за свое поведение во время интервью в эфире вчера вечером.

«Вполне понятно, что я повел себя плохо во время интервью. Премьер-министр должен уметь ответить на любой вопрос, заданный ему. Поэтому я прошу прощения за свое поведение», — сказал он.

Напомним, что журналисты-раследователи выяснили, что Гюннлейгссон был владельцем оффшорной компании Wintris на Британских Виргинских островах, которую вместе с женой купил в 2007 году. Оффшорная компания имела миллионы долларов облигаций в исландских банках.
